So the plan was to in go snowboarding with some friends on Sunday at Blue Mountain... so I headed over to Cindy's place in Philly a day early so that we could rent equipment for cheap in a shop nearby, and because we were leaving at 7am the next day... it turned out that the equipment rental was more expensive in the shop than on the mountain because of the holiday weekend, so that kinda failed D:...
We decided to go out to Chili's for dinner with her two roommates... on the way out, there was a car in the parking lot with heart balloons in the back seat... and a Tupperware container on top of the car with two cupcakes inside... o_o! We joked a bit about eating them, especially if they were still there when we get back....
After dinner... we checked the car again and the cupcakes were still there!! Well, being the good people that we are, we saved the cupcakes from the snowy weather and brought them back to the apartment to be devoured 8D~.... they had this lovely pink cream cheese frosting and were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS XD... my fellow partners in crime were feeling guilty, so after washing the container, we placed several packets of skittles and other candy inside with a note saying "thanks for the cupcakes! They were delicious!! :D <3" style="font-size:130%;">Snowboarding
So the next day... snowboarding...
...
...
WAS REALLY PAINFUL OMFG. I swear we spent about 75% of the time ON OUR BUTTS IN THE SNOW. I joked about this scenario beforehand but... YES IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED THAT WAY.
Some highlights of the trip:
- Falling every time we got off the skii lift
- Inventing a new move called "snow crabbing" whereby you scuttle sideways on your hands and butt to get to the other side of the hill to avoid falling off the edge. (because we could only snowboard to the left for some unknown reason >.>)
- Being unable to find seating for lunch due to the HOARDES OF CHINESE PEOPLE O_O all these little old chinese ladies staked out tables and then refused to budge for HOURS... and set up crockpots... water heaters... started eating watermelon seeds... played cards... >_>;; it was obnoxious, but totally typical XD... I could see my family doing that.
- Watching a random guy laugh at Cindy as she tried to point and 'will herself' in the direction she wanted to go to no effect...
- Realizing that snowboarding is about 54563546x harder than skiing - at any given time there were 5-20 snowboarders just sitting in the snow, contemplating the bunny hill... usually including us XD;;... the skiiers just whizzed by DX...
- Falling less than 5 times on the way down the hill by the end of the day XD...
It was a good trip though! We're thinking about doing it again before the cold season is up :)~
So yes, that was my exciting Valentines weekend - no romance involved but I had a great time :D~
Unfortunately... I came back to piles of schoolwork that doesn't seem to end @_@;;
Before I leave, here's a commissioned picture from last week:

I'll probably update with a larger version when I get the other part of the order done :)~
